The JSWF is committed to deliver the highest quality of altruistic Humanitarian Services to the global community. This Organization is committed to the core values of Leadership, Team Work, Equitable Distribution, Community Participation, Intersectoral Collaboration, Appropriate Technology as well as Community Service and Development.

Mission

The JSWF shall work as an integrated team for delivering continuous, coordinated and generous Philanthropic Services to:

  • improve the health status of every individual
  • maintain decent hygiene, potable water and sanitation
  • encourage literacy and education
  • provide vocational training and skill development
  • promote peace and harmony through better understanding and friendship

About Us

Established on 17th July 2017, the Jijibisha Social Welfare Foundation (JSWF) is a humanitarian service organization whose contributions improved the quality of lives in underprivileged communities both locally and worldwide. The members of this organization are local business leaders, professionals, service providers and youths, who are interested in building lifelong friendships through the experience of providing dynamic, action-oriented volunteer services to the community.

Free Community Medical Camp at Kantadi, Purulia - Fukramura Village at the end of October 2019. Inviting you to join our team.

Full day Picnic with poor children from the rural villages of Ajodhya, Purulia at Ajodhya Pahar, tentatively on December 1st Week, 2019. You all are invited to spend your time with these children.

Core values

Jijibisha's Core Values involve a ‘Five Finger Test’ which represent the guiding principles of the organization's culture. The ‘Five Finger Test’ values are: Is it the appropriate need of this community? How likely this community is going to utilize it? Is it fair to everyone in this community? Will this community participate in implementing it? Will it encourage team work and collaboration in this community? Will it promote peace and harmony in this community? These Core Values are an integral part of the strategic planning as they drive the intent and maintain the leadership focus of this Organization.

Service & Development

Service and Development activity is one of the major elements of mission of this Organization and the focus remains on altruistically serving the underprivileged section of the society. The community programmes create a peaceful environment with integration of cultural diversity immersed in selfless service which provides incomparable satisfaction, immeasurable happiness and relentless joy of giving. The Service and Development activities promote better understanding of human suffering and create empathy as well as an intense zeal to help the needy. So, the service is between equals and after the period of service, all the volunteers of this Organization will be enriched by the experiences in interactions with the community.

Types Of Memberships

Memberships

The Constitution including its Bylaws of the Jijibisha Social Welfare Foundation (JSWF) defines itself as a non-partisan, non-sectarian Organization. It is open to business and professional leaders aged 18 and above, irrespective of the socio-economic status. One can contact this Organization to inquire about membership but can join only if invited. There is no provision to join without an invitation as each prospective member requires a sponsor who is an existing Life Member of the Organization. The representation from a specific profession or business may be limited to a specific percentage of membership.

Active Membership

Active membership is by invitation from a current member of the organization to professionals or business persons or talented individuals working in diverse areas of endeavour. There is a limit up to ten percent of the Organization’s membership representing each business or profession in the area it serves. The Active Membership comprises of two types – Annual Membership and Life Membership. The overall goal is to promote quality service to the community both locally and globally.

Annual Membership

Temporary Membership is also known as Annual Membership and the Affiliate is known as Ordinary ‘Member’ of the Organization. If good relation is maintained with the Organization and recommended by the Governing Body, an Active Member can renew his/her Ordinary Membership status annually by paying Rs. 1000/- per annum (by 31st March). However, the Annual Membership Fees will be revised from time to time depending on the current inflation rate. An Ordinary Member will have full voting privilege and eligible to become an office-bearer of the Organization. The Annual membership of an individual can be revoked on grounds of misconduct by the Governing Body. An Ordinary Member will also be encouraged to use the abbreviation ‘MJSWF’ as designation.

Life Membership

Permanent Membership is also known as Life Membership and the Affiliate is known as ‘Fellow’ of the Organization. If good conduct is maintained with the Organization for three years and recommended by the Governing Body or specially recommended by the Board of Trustees, an Ordinary Member can upgrade his/her Annual Membership status to the Life Membership Status by paying a one-time fee of Rs. 5000/-. However, the Life Membership Fees will be revised from time to time depending on the current inflation rate. A Life Member will have full voting privilege and eligible to become an office-bearer of the Organization. The Life Membership of an individual can be revoked on grounds of misconduct by the Governing Body. A Life Member will also be encouraged to use the abbreviation ‘FJSWF’ as designation.
